My advanced education in the Fine Arts led to museum work in the Education Department of The Baltimore  Museum of Fine Arts, and gallery management. My work in watercolor, acrylic and oil, as well as photography, has been accepted in the annual juried FOCA show since its inception.

I have participated in numerous painting workshops with various artists including Sam Scott and Paul Shapiro, and Master’s classes in photography, in order to refine my vision from figurative toward abstraction.

I am currently exploring the intense emotional impact that the landscape of the West elicits, and am attempting to abstract it by dwelling on the quality of light within the dramatic natural forms and a development of the tensions created by contrasts in tone and texture, through various mediums. I have found that by focusing on detail rather than the full subject, a degree of abstraction and mystery is attained.
